About Brand: The Massachusetts Matcha Company (MMC) was started in 2020 in the small town of Groton, Massachusetts. This is a family run business aiming to bring matcha to more people and coffee shops in the metropolitan west area of the state, as well as to promote a healthier alternative to coffee. The brands image and marketing humorously reference the colonial time period and refer to themselves as “leading the American Revolution of Matcha.”
About Blend: At the time of writing this review, the Resolve Premium Matcha was the only blend available at MMC. Their product is sourced from Nishio, Japan.
Price: $27 per 30 grams.
Scent: Sweet berry notes and a traditional green tea smell.

Color: A nice pastoral green with hues toward white and yellow on the color spectrum. Points 3.5
Foam + Texture : Absolutely amazing crema that is quick forming, fluffy, with mostly uniform bubbles. The texture is astringent and can be a bit grainy. Points 4
Taste: A pronounced bitterness that dances with a nori like umaminess. Has a long finish. Reminiscent of a roasted green tea. Points 3
Final Score: 3.5 out of 5 points
Thoughts: I am loving the frothiness and nori flavors of this blend. I find it does best as a latte preparation and is ideal for coffee shop use (which is where I discovered it). As far as matcha goes, it has a stronger caffein kick than most. Now that we are in the colder months of the New England climate, I have deeply enjoyed this blend as a strong flavored matcha latte.
