About Numi Organic Tea: Numi Organic Tea was founded in 1999 in Oakland, California by brother and sister Ahmen Rahim and Reem Hassani, and has grown to be a nationally successful tea business. The name Numi is derived from a dried Middle Eastern lime that Ahmen and Reem drank in tea form as children. In addition to supplying high quality teas, Numi is committed to community outreach and service. Their projects include increasing access to clean drinking water for farming families, creating community for at risk youth in Oakland, and providing educational resources to orphans and war veterans in Iraq. Numi has a vast collection of organic and high quality teas that are delicious and hit every note of the flavor wheel.

About Blend: This is one of three matcha blends Numi Organic Tea currently offers and it is the only ceremonial blend. It is organic, but I could not find specifics on where this blend is from.

Price:  $16.99-19.99 per 30g depending on retailer (Numi, WholeFoods and more).

Scent: Creamy, buttery and sweet.

Numi Ceremonial Matcha Review

Color:  A light green toward white. Points 2.5

Foam: A cloud like, uniform foam. Points 4.

Taste: Astringent and grassy, reminiscent of dandelion greens and brown rice hulls. Points 2.5

Final Score: 3 out of 5

Thoughts: With an uplifting and positive energy, this blend reminds me of spring. In combination with oat milk, the rice flavor becomes more prominent. This is a budget friendly blend that lends itself well to latte and cold brew lovers.
